WHETHER you are an experienced runner or a complete beginner, there are plenty of runs planned locally in 2022 for you to choose from. Redfish Events have released their full list of fun-runs and races for the upcoming year and are encouraging local people to sign up and smash those New Year’s resolutions!
There are a whole range of exciting events for avid runners to take part in, as well as smaller versions of all races for the less experienced. A different charity is selected for donation for each of the races. Specific dates are yet to be confirmed for some races but check out the Redfish Events Fun Facebook page for any updates.
The first event of this year is the Bowerhill Bomber Winter: Sports Pavilion, Melksham- 10k or 5k on the 27th February. This event covers country lanes, fields, towpaths, and some roads which makes this a picturesque countryside run. This is in support of the Melksham Carnival. Next up is Plain Crazy: Pepper Place, Warminster- a 12.5-mile race. While this date is yet to be confirmed, it should be taking place around Easter. This is in support of the Royal British Legion. Sign up here: https://www.entrycentral.com/event/118830
The Dilton Dash: on the playing field, Dilton Marsh- is taking place on the 22nd May. A 10k or 3k multi terrain run, consisting of footpaths, tracks, and a stretch of road. This event supports various Dilton Marsh village causes. Sign up here: https://www.entrycentral.com/festival/1498
Bratton Hilly: Bratton Jubilee Hall. An 11k run is taking place on 28th May and will be raising money in support of Bratton Jubilee Hall. Sign up here: https://www.entrycentral.com/event/111817
