Excitement is building ahead of this weekend’s Christmas Market!
Organisers of the market, Sarah Hillman and Nicola Coleman, say they are thrilled to have so many local artists and makers joining them for their first Christmas market and are hoping the people of Melksham will shop local and support small businesses this Christmas.
Nicola said, “Next week sees the start of ‘Just a Card – Indie Week’; the independent alternative to Black Friday. It’s a nationwide campaign which encourages people to support, value and buy from artists, makers, independent shops and small business this Christmas – and what better way to start Indie Week than by having a Melksham Makers’ Market!”
The Christmas Makers’ Market will be held in the Melksham Assembly Hall on Saturday 23rd November from 10-2pm, and will showcase a wide variety of local makers and traders.
Sarah says, “We have over 25 makers joining us on Saturday. It’s a great opportunity to support local businesses and do a little bit of Christmas shopping at the same time!
“We have gifts for adults, children and pets on offer, as well as delicious cakes from Glassatura Cakes, Christmas wreaths from Mrs Mosely’s Posies, candles from Floral Flames and scrumptious apple-based delights from Wiltshire College.”
The Christmas market will be the last Makers’ Market for the year, but will return again in the new year. For more information on The Melksham Makers’ Market, please email themelkshammakers market@yahoo.com
