PREPARATIONS for Melksham Carnival 2017 have begun and now is the time to get involved.
This year’s carnival will take place on Saturday 22nd July and following the success of last year, the Family Fun Day at King George V Park will return.
Carnival secretary, Beth Dark said, “Entries are open for the carnival procession so if you would like to have a float, download a form off our website. The carnival procession is an excellent way to highlight your business, charity or organisation.
“Even if you are an individual, don’t be shy, you will be most welcome to come and join in the fun!
“We’re really excited about this year’s event in the park; we’ve got so much going on. There will be an array of stalls, face painters, tug of war competitions, carnival royalty, charity stalls, ice cream trucks, plus refreshments. Also new to this year’s event we have a brass band and a fun dog show. You are also welcome to bring your own picnic.
“If you would like to have a stall then please do get in touch with us as soon as possible because we expect spaces to go quickly.
“The day might be a couple of months away but we advise people to let us know if they would like to take part in the procession as soon as possible.
“Please have a look at the carnival website for details – www.melkshamcarnival.co.uk”
