Melksham celebrated World Book Day earlier this month with pupils dressing up as their favourite book characters to mark the national event.
Queensway Chapel Nursery dressed up as princesses and superheroes to help raise funds for Crackerjacks Children’s Trust. They managed to raise £72.22 for the charity.
Aloeric Primary School also celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as their favourite book character and the staff joined in too.
As well as listening to stories and watching the Story Box theatre production, the children took part in many book activities in their classrooms. Usborne Books visited and the children were able to use their book tokens towards buying a new book to take home.
