The Wiltshire Air Ambulance hosted a visit for Melksham Chamber to their, now completed, headquarters at Oakmarsh Farm, between Melksham and Semington.
20 members of Melksham Chamber, Melksham Without Parish and Semington councils attended the visit and were given a guided tour of the new facility which brings all of the charity’s operations under one roof.
The tour gave an in- depth insight into the work of the Wiltshire Air Ambulance and the many operational challenges they face in funding and running such a vital service for the county.
Chamber members and guests paid £5 per head to attend the visit and all of the monies were donated back to the air ambulance to help with the fundraising.
The Chamber would like to thank Valerie Whistler and her team for their hospitality and hosting a really fascinating and informative visit and wish the Wiltshire Air Ambulance every success in their new headquarters.
The next Melksham Chamber event will be a talk by Mike Laughton from Munro Brown charted accountants on “Making Tax Digital”, HMRC’s new system of tax collection and how it will affect your business. This will be held on Tuesday 26th June at The Kings Arms Hotel, Melksham Market Place, 7.00pm for 7.30pm. All welcome.
