COFFEE mornings in Melksham last week raised hundreds of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
A Macmillan coffee morning organised by a group of residents in Bowerhill, Sunderland Close and Friends, raised the sum of £256, plus extra to be added from Gift Aid.
The event was held on the green space in the close and residents and supporters enjoyed scrumptious cakes, bric-a-brac, guess the weight of the cake and a raffle.
This was the residents’ second Macmillan coffee morning and they have held other events, bringing the community together.
The new community hub in the Market Place, known as “that meeting space”, also played host to a coffee morning with delicious cakes on offer and a ‘bring and buy’ stall, raising £80 for the charity.
