A group in Melksham that designs and creates the flags in the town is inviting people to join as it plans next year’s display.
The Melksham Flag Group is responsible for designing and making flags that are hung in the town centre at key points throughout the year.
Recent displays have included the nature-themed flags which were displayed to celebrate the 100th birthday of Sir David Attenborough.
Organiser Terri Welch said, “Perhaps you would like to join the flag team. People with ideas and perhaps some design skills are always welcome, why not join us? Our next get-together is on Wednesday 9th September at Doubles on the Avonside Enterprise Park. Come along and join us for coffee at 10am.”
The flags which were on display for Sir David Attenborough’s centenary are now for sale, following public interest and enquiries.
Terri said, “The tiger has already been booked by an interested person, but the other nine are still available.”
If you are interested in purchasing one, contact or drop into Melksham Town Hall and leave your details, and they will contact the team.
