Elisha-Kate Wilson, a pupil at Bowerhill School, decided to raise some money during the long summer holidays for the Dorothy House Hospice.
She came up with the idea of making and selling bookmarks using all her arts and crafts materials. Some were even made to order. She asked for a donation of 25p for each one and people were very generous. One bookmark even sold for £10! Elisha-Kate is already thinking of her project for next summer.
Elisha-Kate has been part of the fundraising group, Dotty Pink Productions, which has raised over £13,000 for the hospice and £5,000 for Help for Heroes over the last four years, but this is her first solo effort. The team and her family are very proud of her!
