A Melksham-based home care provider has expanded into a new office as demand for its services continues to grow.
Melksham Homecare, launched by a local family last year, has moved into a dedicated premises following a surge in enquiries from residents across the town and surrounding areas.
“The move to our new office has been a natural next step since our launch,” said Registered Manager Natasha Halsey. “Because it became so busy, so fast, we needed a dedicated space so that we can fully focus on delivering the best quality care.”
The company, which now has a team of 13 carers, is currently assisting around 20 clients each week with a range of care packages, and the new office will allow the team to increase capacity and support more families.
The most requested service continues to be daily wellbeing visits, which provide reassurance for both clients and their families. These visits can include anything from preparing meals and helping with household tasks to medication prompts and companionship.
“We have been incredibly lucky to help clients regain their independence and support families through tough times,” said Natasha. “And by moving to the new office, it has allowed us to offer our services to more people through having a dedicated space to plan care better and to train more care assistants that have joined our team.
“We are delighted to have hired some amazing local carers with many years of experience, and we are always on the lookout for great carers who might want to join our brilliant team.
“We offer a range of care packages from short term post-surgery help to full weekly personal care support. And our transparent family app also means peace of mind for families, as our care notes are visible after each visit.”
Melksham Homecare was set up by six members of the same local family, combining more than 80 years of experience in healthcare. The team includes a paramedic, nurses and experienced carers, all aiming to help residents remain independent in their own homes.
“We understand how difficult life can get at times and our aim is to help share the load when we’re needed,” added Natasha. “We know as a family it is a very scary step to ask for support but, in our experience, it almost always benefits everyone involved. If you are not sure or just want to have a chat, then please get in touch – there is never any obligation.”
