CALLING all budding gardeners, applications for Melksham in Bloom are now available and judging will take place on Thursday 14th July.
Please pick up an entry form from Melksham Town Hall or the Tourist Information Centre, forms are also available to download from Melksham Town Council’s website: www.melkshamtown.co.uk
Categories are as follows:
Residential Section: Best Large and Small Front Garden; Best Large and Small Rear Garden; Best Single Tub Container; Best Single Hanging Basket; Best Water Feature.
Commercial: Best Decorated Site; Best Decorated Site (Hotel / Restaurant / Pub / Cafe); Best Single Hanging Basket / Planter / Trough (Independent Trader); Best Shop Window Display using Flowers / Plants (artificial or real); Best Single Hanging Basket / Planter / Trough (Hotel / Restaurant / Cafe / Pub)
Schools / Pre Schools: Best Horticultural Display (Vegetable or floral); Best Wildlife Friendly Garden
Residential Retirement Home / Care Home / Shelter Housing or Residential Development for over 55s: Best Decorated Site; Best Hanging Basket / Trough / Planter
Other classes include: Best Street and Best Allotment.
Winners and runners up will be notified as soon as possible after the competition. A presentation ceremony for the winners and runners up will take place on Sunday, 11 September at the Assembly Hall, as part of the Melksham Gardeners’ Society’s Flower & Produce Show.
