Four people in Melksham are celebrating after scooping a £1,000 cash prize each, thanks to their lucky postcode.
The Queensway neighbours netted the windfall when SN12 7LB was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Thursday 5th December.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, Danyl Johnson, sent his well-wishes to the winners saying, “Congratulations to our winners in Melksham. I hope they go out and treat themselves to something nice for Christmas now!”
A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery , which has raised £500million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
This draw was promoted by Save the Children which has received over £7.6million in funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery. It supports children from disadvantaged backgrounds and helps them stay healthy, safe and in education. They work in over 100 countries, including the UK, to protect children from disease and hunger while giving them the best care possible.
Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and the next opportunity local charities will have to apply for funding will be early next year.
