THE Town Hall has been lit up in the blue, white and red of the French Tricolour in solidarity and support for the people of France after the Paris terror attacks.
An impromptu minute’s silence was also held on Monday outside the Town Hall with staff from Melksham Town Council and Melksham Without Council, along with members of the public, remembering the victims of the Paris attacks that took place last Friday.
The Town Hall is also flying the French Tricolour and Union Flag at half-mast.
Mayor of Melksham, cllr Terri Welch said, “I’m so pleased that the Town Hall is blazed in blue, white and red and that the Melksham community took part in the minute silence to show their support and condolences for the victims of the Paris attacks.
“I know I speak for the whole of Melksham when I say our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Paris after the horrific events.”
