More artists have been booked for Melksham Party in the Park.
Publicity organiser, Bruce Burry said, “Dirty Arry, who are a five piece band (guitar, bass, drums and fronted by a fantastic duo of female vocalists) have been confirmed.
“Their sound is raw and edgy, yet tight and powerful and from the driving groove of the rhythm section, to the intricate, ever changing guitar work, topped off by the girls strong vocal dynamics, offering awesome lead and smooth precise harmonies, you will be captivated by the aural and visual experience they create. They can ROCK and can take you from sweet to sweaty in under 10 seconds, but you will find no wimpy elevator tunes in their set. Every song is driven by energy and passion and Dirty ‘Arry is able to faithfully reproduce the songs you love. They take music seriously, but not themselves.
“Also confirmed is Antigua Joe, singer songwriter performance poet working in south west UK Torbay and the West Country. Born in Antigua, he came to the UK in 1971. His love of instruments came from being in a musical family and he sings Reggae and Calypso,
“He also plays a number of instruments including the drums, percussion, flute, keyboards, guitar and vocals. Hopefully we should be able to publish the complete line up for the main stage in the next issue of Melksham News
“As we come every closer to 12th July, things need to be finalised, so if you still want to book a stall please contact Anne Marie ambpitp@hotmail. co.uk. For all other enquiries including advertising in our programme and stage banners, please contact melkshamparty@ fsmail.net.”
