A Melksham musician took to the stage at Glastonbury Festival, performing at the Music Space Earth Circle in the Healing Fields.
Singer songwriter, Joshua Brown played a set of his own songs to festival goers on Friday 23rd June in his second appearance at the festival.
“The last time I performed at Glastonbury was in 1992 in a London based duo called Rosy Future at the now defunct Golden Moon Café,” he said. “I was 19 years old and we played all our own original songs.
“I was delighted to be invited to perform again this time in the Music Space Earth Circle, again playing my own songs. I’ve spent a lot of time playing in covers and tribute bands in the years in between, so it’s grand to play my own compositions, including songs on my upcoming album being recorded at Melksham’s Nine Volt Leap Studio to a Glastonbury audience.
“Before the festival even started there was an intimate moment with Glen Tilbrook of Squeeze, a songwriter I’ve always looked up to. Fellow performer Eva Abraham and I were trading songs in the performance area when he joined us and borrowed my guitar to sing the Squeeze song Cold Shoulder.”
