THE Melksham Ukulele Social Club (MUSC) is meeting again this month for the first time in 18 months.
“The club has been running for almost 10 years with members from all over Wiltshire, and during Zoom – beyond!” says the group.
“The past 18 months has been particularly difficult; not being able to meet in person but having to have Zoom meetings. Like many, the Annual General Meeting has been postponed which is always a time to welcome new members and explain the benefits of being part of the club. MUSC is no exception, Zoom has been great, but being together and playing music live – together – is the great benefit of the club.
“Having said that, we did manage to join friends virtually, as far north as Lancashire during the pandemic which was one of our highlights in those dark days of the pandemic at home.
“We meet on a Thursday evening from 7:30pm to 9:30pm in the Guide Hut followed with a chat in the pub !
“The music is always within the level of all players. Beginners are especially welcome and will be give help by the members to feel quickly inclusive. So much can be played on just three notes!!!! To meet us and hear more PLEASE come along to our short AGM at 7pm on Thursday 18th November at the Guide Hut. Our business will be short and our music long…..”
