A Melksham girl has used her charm and enthusiasm to win a place on a board of executive Little Leaders for a national play centre.
Soft play centre Wacky Warehouse teamed up with Fayre & Square pub restaurant the Mill House on Bath Road, Chippenham to find 10 natural-born Little Leaders aged between five and eight years old to help them develop their new children’s menu created for kids by kids, as well as helping to influence future ideas for Wacky Warehouse and Fayre & Square.
Erin Willis aged six, was chosen from almost 200 entries after being nominated by mum Maria who said, “She would be a great leader as she has strong views and has experience of being a school councillor so is able to express her views. She loves soft play and is an active gymnast. We think she’s going to be the next Beth Tweddle as she loves hanging from monkey bars!”
The board of 10 Little Leaders will now come together at the headquarters for Wacky Warehouse and Fayre & Square in Burton upon Trent where they’ll spend the day working with chefs to taste new dishes, design the look and style of the menu and most importantly test out new play equipment for Wacky Warehouse.
Erin has also won a Merlin Annual Pass, a family party at her local Fayre & Square pub restaurant, and a Wacky VIP Gold Card, which entitles her to unlimited access to the play centre for 12 months.
Craig Ashford, general manager of the Mill House said, “It’s absolutely brilliant that a Little Leader ambassador has been found in Melksham.
“There were plenty of entries but Erin’s creative idea for a dessert factory where children could make some wacky creations, plus her confident and imaginative personality, meant she clinched it.
“I can’t wait to see how Erin contributes to shaping the new menu and Wacky Warehouse play equipment.”
Wacky Warehouse has 75 outlets nationwide and is the UK’s leading soft play and activity centre for children aged up to 12 years old. Wacky Warehouse venues are attached to Fayre & Square and Flaming Grill pub restaurants.
