Free weekly sessions for men to meet and talk about their lives will run until December, following the success of a previous group.
The sessions are for men aged 65 and over and provide a space for them to discuss their lives, careers, hobbies and potentially make new friends at Melksham Library. Organised by the creative arts and heritage project Celebrating Age Wiltshire, the group is part of the Creative Conversations programme.
Organisers said, “This is a free 11-week programme for any men aged 65 and over who live in or around Melksham. It is an opportunity to meet other men in a small group to talk about different topics each week or to just come and listen.”
One person who has benefited from this type of group said, “Finding new friends and interests has reduced my stress and given me a different way of thinking.”
Running every Tuesday until 10th December, the sessions will take place from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at Melksham Library.
