HALLOWEEN was celebrated in ‘spooktacular’ style last month at the annual Melksham Monster Ball.
Organiser Bruce Burry said, “Once again, the Monster Ball, Melksham’s largest Halloween party was a ‘fangtastic’ success with more than 250 people, mostly in fancy dress costumes, attending.
“The Melksham Assembly Hall was turned into a haunted ballroom with spooky decorations, a light up dance floor and bouncy castle. The entertainment was supplied by Apollo Disco who started the evening with music and party games, followed by four great dance routines by Melksham dance group, In2dance, led by dance instructor Kim Rimmer.
“Mayor Jon Hubbard and his wife Annette had the hard task as special guests to judge the fancy dress competitions. The evening finished with local band, The Ray Jones Band, rocking the night away.
“The Monster Ball is run by unpaid volunteers from Melksham Music Festival and helped by local groups and businesses. The aim is to supply an inexpensive and safe environment for all ages. It was another one of a long list of great events for Melksham.”
