A special Mother’s Day tea took place on the afternoon of Monday 12th March at Daisychain nursery, Whitley, when many of the children’s mummies came along.
The nursery reports, “Sandra, our cook, had been very busy making a selection of cakes, quiches, pizzas and lots of tasty sandwiches, Kathy’s pre-school helped out by making biscuits and our toddler group made some cheese straws under the watchful eye of Nic.
“It was lovely to see parents, who generally pass each other at drop off and pick up times, to be able to sit and have a chat over a cup of tea or coffee and a plate of food.
“At Daisychain we hold monthly events where families can come and join in. Coming up shortly we have Easter bonnet-making and crafts, a sponsored Peppa Pig muddy puddle walk and a nursery rhyme sing-a-long.”
