EVERY other Monday evening at the Pig and Whistle pub on Woodrow Road, there is a small band friends who meet to play music from 7pm to 9pm.
They play guitars and ukuleles with an opportunity to learn the harmonica.
“If we have more people then we can widen both the genre and the time,” explains a member of the group, Chris Pickett.”We’ve recently started offering an opportunity to learn the harmonica. This instrument has been proven to help with breathing issues, like COPD, long-covid and many other breathing conditions.
“If you would like to have an opportunity to improve your breathing or just learn a new instrument, this is an ideal opportunity that is open to you at no cost. We want to support our ‘local hostelries’ (pubs), as so many are still closing and those open are struggling to meet the increasing costs of rents and beers.”
