MELKSHAM Town Council is hoping to build a new amenities building in the King George V Park.
It will replace the existing ‘maintenance shed’, next to the park’s cafe, which is derelict and has been an eyesore for many years.
Town councillors heard a presentation from NVB Architects at their asset management and amenities committee meeting on Monday 11th October. They voted unanimously to ask the architects to submit a planning application to Wiltshire Council.
Town clerk, Linda Roberts, said the council would apply for a public works loan to fund the build, and that further agreement for additional funding may be required from the council.
