MELKSHAM’S first ClimateFest event, which was due to take place on Saturday 17th September, has been postponed by the town council and will now take place on Sunday 2nd October.
The organisers say they have taken the decision to postpone the event in light of the sad news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
They say they are grateful for everyone’s understanding and flexibility, and look forward to making this an enjoyable and inspirational event for everyone.
There will be stalls, activities, speakers and music to celebrate and inspire environmental responsibility.
Organised by the environment and climate group of Melksham Town Council, the day is generously supported by Gompels, Gompels Healthcare, BGL Reiber, Blue Leaf Estates, Good Energy, Option 24/7, Shurnhold Storage and Recycling and Wessex Water Foundation, as well as a team of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about the big and small differences we can each make to reduce our carbon footprint and look after our environment.
