75 new homes could be built in Semington and Wiltshire Council is inviting people to have their say on a planning application to build the new estate.
The application, submitted last month, would see 75 new homes built to the north of Pound Lane in the village. The build would include public open spacesĀ between the houses and the canal, and all vehicle access will be via Pound Lane.
30% of the estate would be affordable housing, in line with national recommendations.
Developer Richborough Estates says the houses, to be built on over 12 acres of farmland, will be in keeping with the appearance of the village and there will be a variety of house and street types. Not much feedback has been left yet, but some residents have expressed concern about Pound Lane being too small to handle the traffic, and the loss of open green space.
Comments are invited until Friday 29th July.
To have your say go to www.wiltshire.gov.ukĀ and enter 16/05783/OUT in the planning search or write to Development Management, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, BA14 8JN.
