If it’s a while since you’ve visited the King’s Arms, then there’s no time like the present!
The new landlords Jade and Chris Lundean took over in mid-February and have given the bar, restaurant and hotel and new lease of life.
“When we arrived, the Kings Arms was in the doldrums a bit,” explained Jade. “But we’ve worked extremely hard to revamp the menu, introduce a whole range of new ideas and create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
“We offer a wide range of fantastic food from bar snacks to full restaurant dining, serving food daily. We also have a new ever-changing daily specials menu.
“Customers can expect a very warm and welcoming experience in a traditional pub environment with excellent quality food and drink at affordable prices. We don’t want to be a place where people come just for special occasions.”
The Kings Arms was given a complete renovation by Wadworth’s last year with the bar, restaurant and ten en-suite bedrooms all given an impressive new look.
Chris and Jade took over in February charged with bringing the historic 18th Coaching Inn back to life and putting it firmly at the heart of the Melksham community.
“It’s such a fantastic building and we love the town; we are really enjoying it here,” added Jade.
“We hope we’ve already changed the ethos of the place to make it a great place for people to come.
“We’ve introduced a few new ideas – quiz nights on the first Sunday of the month; a Friday night disco in the bar with dancing to music from the 80s and 90s; and Fizz Fridays – come and join us for Champagne, Prosecco & Cocktails on a Friday evening.
“And there are others on the way: monthly Italian themed evenings with a top class pizza and pasta menu; jazz and acoustic evenings and we’re looking at the possibility of a craft fayre on our cobbled forecourt. We’re also working on our Christmas Party Menu, our Christmas Day Menu and a Halloween Party Night.
