MELKSHAM Rotary Club has appointed Rita Sanders as their new president, taking over from her husband, Bruce Sanders.
The club reports, “July is the start of the new Rotary year and with it comes a new President for Melksham Rotary. Rita Sanders takes over from her husband Bruce Sanders and is looking forward to another successful year.
“The Arthouse, Melksham Rotary’s community project, is going from strength to strength and there are plenty of ideas in the pipeline to raise funds for international projects such as Shelterbox and Water Aid, as well as supporting the local community, such as with Kids Out.
“The President’s charity for this coming year is Wheelchair Foundation UK, a Rotary charity which leads an international effort to deliver a wheelchair to anyone in the world who needs one but cannot afford it, with wheelchairs costing only £75 each.”
