FOREST and Sandridge Primary School received a formal blessing this month with a visit from the Bishop of Ramsbury, Ed Condry.
The school, which moved into its brand new building at the beginning of this term, held an assembly for parents and governors to celebrate the official blessing.
Deputy headteacher Helen Biles-Wood said, “We’re really pleased with how the day went; it was a lovely service with drama, songs and readings by the children, as well as a speech from the bishop. It’s unusual to be able to have him attend something like this, so we were particularly honoured that he came and made it such a special event.”
The new Forest and Sandridge C of E Primary School was built this year on Cranesbill Road, to replace the century-old schoolhouse on Sandridge Road, which was no longer big enough.
