Melksham Town Council has appointed Dave Elms to the new position of town warden.
Dave will be responsible for promoting a high standard of cleanliness within the town and will provide support and assistance to the caretaking team in terms of maintenance and horticultural services at town council-owned or managed facilities.
“This is a newly-created role and we’re delighted to welcome Dave to the Town Hall team,” said town clerk, Steve Gray. “The financial pressures faced by Wiltshire Council have inevitably resulted in a reduced level of service being provided to local communities, but the town council is intent on maintaining an attractive and welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike to enjoy and Dave’s appointment is key to achieving that goal.”
