Celebrating this year’s ICC Cricket World Cup coming to the UK this summer, Wiltshire Council say it’s time to step up to your challenge – either as an individual or as part of a team – and get active.
They say, “This year’s challenges have something for everyone, no matter what age or ability.
“Participants can undertake any sport or activity to complete their challenge. This year they are timed challenges with participants trying to ‘complete a century’ by logging minutes of activity to ‘score a run’ and to reach their century.
“The challenges include an ‘It’s Just Not Cricket Opener Challenge’; this is a challenge for individuals who want to get active, are new to activity or who might have a disability.
“Participants will need to complete 10 minutes of activity to ‘score a run’ and therefore complete 1,000 minutes to ‘score a century’.
“It’s Just Not Cricket Middle Order Challenge
This challenge is for individuals who are already moderately active.
“Participants will need to complete 20 minutes of activity to ‘score a run’ and therefore complete 2,000 minutes to ‘score a century’.
“It’s Not Just Cricket All-Rounder Challenge; this challenge is for individuals who are already active and are looking for a hard challenge. Participants will need to complete 30 minutes of activity to ‘score a run’ and therefore complete 3,000 minutes to ‘score a century’.
“It’s Not Just Cricket Team Challenge; this team challenge is for community groups and clubs or friends and family. There is no limit to the number of team members. The total time goal will be calculated on the total number of team members each completing 150 minutes of activity per week of the challenge.
“It’s Not Just Cricket School Challenge; this team challenge is for schools.
“There is no limit to the number of pupils. The total time goal will be calculated on the total number of pupils each completing 60 minutes of activity per day of the school week of the duration challenge. It’s Not Just Cricket Corporate Challenge; this team challenge is for business or workplace teams.
“There is no limit to the number of team members. The total time goal will be calculated on the total number of team members each completing 150 minutes of activity per week of the challenge.”
