Atworth History Group
The Atworth History Group welcomed Phil McMullen, who gave a very interesting talk about the history of letterpress printing on Monday 3rd March.
As well as telling us about the early use of letterpress printing, Phil showed us some of the tools of the trade and a couple of things that he had printed. Next month, on Monday 7th April, Dave Ecob from the Moulton Trust in Bradford-on-Avon will give a talk about Alex Moulton and the work of the Moulton Trust.
We meet in Atworth Village Hall at 7.30pm. Visitors are very welcome at the modest cost of £5 for the evening, or you may wish to join for an annual subscription of £20.
The Atworth museum has been closed for the winter and will reopen on Sunday 30th March, from 2pm to 4pm. It is situated about halfway along Bradford Road in Atworth, so just look out for the notice board that will be put out on the day.
