THERE will be two one-off events at Melksham Library next week in the lead up to National Libraries Day on Saturday 6th February.
On Tuesday 2nd February, there will be a talk entitled Stories from Lacock Archives taking place from 5.30pm. Ally McConnell, archivist at Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre, will explore stories both old and more recent from the Lacock Archive.
Then Thursday 4th February will be Harry Potter Book Night from
4 – 5pm. Children are welcome to come along for a magical night of potion-making, spell-casting, fortune-telling, truth-spinning and lots of other creative challenges. Share the wonder of the magical stories with lots of fun and games, and don’t forget to come dressed as your favourite character! Suitable for 7 – 11 year olds (all children must be accompanied by an adult).
To book your place at either event, phone Melksham Library on 01225 702039.
