‘Fearne Fairy And The Chocolate Caterpillar,’ the 9th instalment from local author Sarah Hill’s award-winning Whimsy Wood Series for 5-8 year olds is set to be published this week.
Written by Sarah Hill, the book is illustrated by Sarah Mauchline.
Sarah said, “In this wonderfully whimsical and heart-warming story, the month of April has arrived in Whimsy Wood and Fearne Fairy’s about to make a new friend! Not only that, but this new charming character gets himself in a sticky situation and luckily, Fearne comes to his rescue.
“I couldn’t possibly tell you who Fearne’s new friend is, or how she rescues him. You’ll just have to read ‘Fearne Fairy and The Chocolate Caterpillar’ for yourself!”
There are 35 books in this charming children’s series for 5-8 year olds and they are divided into 5 sets of 7 books.
Each book is written specifically for a month in the calendar, so the flora and fauna within the wood change as you read through the series. There is a proverb hidden within every story for the reader to find, giving it real meaning. Sarah aims for her books to not only entertain children, but to educate and inspire their lives through respect for the environment and each other.
10% of book sales for every Whimsy Wood book is donated to The Wildlife Trusts, UK.
The launch will be online on the ‘Whimsy Wood’ Facebook page on July the 2nd. There will be a competition to win signed copies of this 9th chocolatey instalment from Saturday 25th June until 2nd July, again on the Whimsy Wood Facebook page.
