THERE’S non-stop entertainment at Melksham Assembly Hall with enthralling new shows and live music coming up over the coming months.
On Friday 9th March, Dire Straits: UK bring their tribute act to one of the biggest bands of the 80s and 90s to the Assembly Hall.
Formed in 2015, Dire Straits:UK is a 6-piece self contained band featuring some outstanding musicians performing guitar, keys, saxophone, rhythm guitar, bass guitar and drums.
The band tributes the mid-80s and early 90s concert eras of Dire Straits, a time when they were one of the biggest stadium rock bands in the world.
During the show, you’ll hear closely recreated performances of classic Dire Straits songs including Sultans of Swing, Money for Nothing, Romeo and Juliet and Walk of Life, along with other classic and popular album tracks.

On Saturday 17th March As part of their ‘Celebrating Sixty Years of Cliff and The Shadows’ tour, top tribute act Simon Goodall and The Bourne Again Shadows are playing Melksham Assembly Hall. See story above.
On Thursday 29th March Coldplace, the world’s number one tribute to the legendary Coldplay, comes to Melksham for one night only at the Assembly Hall, as part of their 2018 UK tour.
Formed in 2004 by frontman Shane Crofts, Coldplace have performed around the world with their leading tribute, and most recently have performed at Chris Evans’ Car Fest alongside Kaiser Chiefs, The Jacksons and Mel C. The band has also appeared on BBC Radio One and Two, The Gadget Show, Sky News, and performed alongside musical legends such as Sir Bob Geldof and Ringo Starr.
