A local nursery has celebrated the children who will be leaving for primary school in September with a special nursery graduation ceremony.
The ceremony took place on 7th August at Daisychain Day Nursery in Whitley, with parents in attendance. Children were presented with homemade mortarboards to wear on the day, alongside gifts from the nursery.
Deputy Manager Kathy Goodhew said, “The time has come for our Daisychain school leavers as they move on to their next journey. We’ve had a fantastic time exploring, creating, and watching them grow. We wish our children all the best.”
“The graduation ceremony is always a special day. It was wonderful, though tinged with a little sadness, to see the children so grown-up in their little mortarboards!”
Isaac, aged 4, said, “I really enjoyed getting my hat and everyone clapping. I can’t wait for big school.”
