For the fifth year running, children at River Mead Primary School took part in pancake-flipping fun to mark Pancake Day.
Each class was split into six groups to see how many laps they could complete in three minutes on Tuesday 24th February.
The class with the highest number of laps was Herons with 58, second was Frogs with 57, third was The Beehive with 56, and fourth was Buzzards with 55.
A resident who volunteers at the school, Sue Mortimer, thanked the teachers and volunteer lap counters Annie, Patsy and Chris for giving up their time to help make the pancake fun run such a success.
She said, “Well done to all the children who took part. There was some really amazing tossing of the pancakes, which the children did at the start of each lap, which added to the fun.”
