MELKSHAM Without Parish Council is planning to move its offices from the Market Place to the sports pavilion on the Bowerhill sports field.
The move has been brought about due to its current landlord at Crown Chambers in the Market Place giving notice to vacate the premises.
The council has submitted a planning application to change the use of the sports pavilion at the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Sports Field in Bowerhill to enable it to be used as an office.
The council will move to the sports pavilion temporarily, while it waits for the Melksham Health and Wellbeing Centre to be built, which will include its new offices. The move to the new campus is expected to take place in early 2021.
In the application, the council has said that it intends to hire out the space as a training and meetings facility, following its expected departure to the campus in 2021. To view the application, visit the Wiltshire Council planning website and search using reference: 18/04356/FUL
