MELKSHAM Pet Food Bank held a Christmas Extravaganza on Saturday 25th November at the Forest Community Centre.
“It was a massive success…hundreds of people attended, and the weather was so kind to us; sunny all afternoon,” said organiser Wendy Isaacs.
“The event was not about raising lots of money, it was about bringing the community together, and giving everyone, especially the children, a lovely afternoon without having to spend a lot of money, and to give a bit of Christmas cheer. Santa gave out free gifts all afternoon, and all the children in the lantern parade also received sweets and chocolate. Bluey was the Star of the show, for children and adults alike.
“We would just like to say a huge thank you to the volunteers who turned up that morning and worked tirelessly all afternoon; to all the 50 stall holders; Danny Toogood who supplied all the fairground equipment; and to Melksham Music and Drama, Paper Jam Band and Danie Cave giving us live entertainment all afternoon; and Santa, Bluey and Baby Shark, making the day the magical one that it was. Also a special thank you to Tracy for being my Rock and for helping wherever needed.”
