PETSTOWN has won Melksham’s Christmas Shop Window Display competition.
Owner Barry Franks said, “We’ve been involved in the competition for over 30 years and have won quite a few times, but it’s always nice to win again.
“It does take quite a lot of effort but I don’t mind because it’s great for the town and as we are the first shop as you come over the bridge, it’s important that the shop window gives a good impression.
“The competition is good for the town because a lot of the shops are involved and it makes the town look festive. The only thing is that the decorations aren’t up for very long because before you know it, Christmas has been and gone!”
Mayor Terri Welch said, “I was so impressed with the Christmas shop windows this year. Although these were the winners in the Christmas window display competition, overall, businesses have worked hard on their shop window displays.
“Well done to Petstown for a fantastic display once again, it was fantastic.”
