Police crime update for Melksham

CRIME updates for Melksham between 10/8/20 and 17/08/20 are as follows.

Police say, “If you have information that may be useful to us regarding any of these or any other crimes please call us on 101 and quote the number relating to the incident. Alternatively report anonymously via Crimestoppers online or 0800 555 111. To report a crime, call 101 or report online at our website. We cannot currently take reports of crime via email or Facebook.”

54200079514 Crime – Arson and Criminal Damage 10/08/2020 11:55 KINGSBURY SQUARE, MELKSHAM, (ED11) A male was arrested for criminal damage to a window of a property at the location. Kane HURKETT, 32 of NFA was later charged with criminal damage and 3 historical shopliftings at Melksham service Station, Semington Road, back in early August. He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Salisbury Mags on the 25th Sept.

54200079531 Crime – Drug Offence 10/08/2020 15:29 BATH ROAD, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Officers on patrol stop checked a vehicle. The driver was found to be in possession of cannabis and also failed a drug swipe tests. The male was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and possession. The male in his teens from Melksham was later released RUI (Under Police Investigation).

54200079692 Crime – Burglary Residential (Dwelling) 11/08/2020 00:22 CRANESBILL ROAD, MELKSHAM, (ED12) An offender has entered a property and stolen cash from within.

54200080069 Crime – Arson and Criminal Damage 11/08/2020 20:31 EDEN GROVE, WHITLEY, (ED12) An offender has fired an air riffle which hit an upstairs window of a property, causing it to crack.

54200080090 Crime – Arson and Criminal Damage 11/08/2020 21:57 LINCOLN GREEN, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Between 1700-2100 hours an offender has damaged the tyre on a parked and unattended vehicle with a sharp implement causing it to deflate.

54200080323 Transport – RTC – Death/Injury 12/08/2020 11:26 A361, SEEND, (ED13) Officers attended a road traffic collision. One of the drivers involved failed a drug swipe test and was arrested on suspicion of drug driving. The male in his 30’s from the Trowbridge area was later released RUI (Under Police Investigation).

54200081297 Crime – Drug Offence 14/08/2020 21:54 A350, MELKSHAM,(ED12) Following a vehicle stop by officers on patrol, the driver was found to be in possession of cannabis, and was arrested for this and on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of drink or drugs. Nicholas JONES, 50, of Laurel Grove, Trowbridge was later released and charged with possession of a controlled drug. He will appear at Salisbury Mags on the 2nd Oct 2020.

54200081349 Transport – Road related offence 15/08/2020 02:11 NEW LAWNS, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Officers on patrol stop checked a vehicle. The driver was given a drug swipe test which he failed and was arrested on suspicion of drug driving. The male in his 30’s from Trowbridge was later released RUI (Under Police Investigation)

54200081630 Crime – Miscellaneous crimes against Society offences 16/08/2020 00:51 ELLIOTT PLACE, MELKSHAM (ED11) following a report of a disorder, the Police attended and arrested a male for being Drunk and Disorderly. Upon a search, he was also in possession of a small amount of cannabis. The male, in his 20’s from Melksham was later released with a fixed penalty Notice for Disorder and a Cannabis warning notice for the drugs.
