OWNER of Classic Motors and popular Melksham resident, Joe Barbieri, died on Saturday 25th November after an 18-month battle with cancer, at the age of 65.
Paying tribute to his father, Michael Barbieri said, “My dad started Classic Motors in 1983. He began as an automotive repair shop and it soon expanded and became an MOT Test station as well. I joined my father in 2002 and have worked beside my dad for the past 15 years. We’ve always taken so much pride in what we do and looking after our customers.
“My dad, after nearly 35 years, considered so many of his customers more as friends after knowing them for such a long time. My dad was sadly diagnosed with cancer in early 2016, but that did not stop him at all. He worked every day up until several days before he passed.
“His sheer determination and dedication never to give up, is something that will stay with me forever and is a true act of bravery. Business at Classic Motors will continue as normal and I hope I can make him proud, continuing serving Melksham and looking after our customers/friends for many more years to come.”
The Funeral Service at West Wilts Crematorium, Semington on Monday 18th December at 10.45am.
