MELKSHAM Town FC has postponed tomorrow’s (Saturday 31st October) match against Basingstoke Town as one of its management staff has tested positive for Covid-19.
Melksham Town FC’s directors say, “We can confirm that tomorrow’s game against Basingstoke has been postponed due to one of our management staff having been tested positive for Covid-19. We will announce on Monday (2nd November) details of Tuesday’s (3rd November) game once we have more advice and guidance from NHS Test and Trace.
“We would like to thank the Southern League and Basingstoke Town for their understanding and co-operation.
“As the first team players and management staff have not used the facilities since October 10th, this does NOT affect any of our other teams or use of our facilities.
“We would like to wish the individual a very speedy recovery. We hope everyone else stays safe and well.”
This is the second match affected by the Covid-19 scare – Monday (26th October) night’s match against Evesham was also postponed.
