The ladybirds and bumblebees classes of Aloeric Primary School recently visited St Michael’s Church as part of their learning about different parts of the community.
Class teacher Ruth Gould said, “The children also had the opportunity to watch Reverend Barry christen their doll that they named Mary.
“They were also able to explore the church; for some it was their first visit, and enjoyed finding out about how a Christening was conducted. The children were hands-on and were able to explore and experience a great many things including the font, lectern, alter and pulpit.
“Many thanks to the Reverend Barry and as always parents and helpers, without which these visits could not take place.”
