FOREST and Sandridge CE Primary School has announced the appointment of Scott James as its new interim principal from September 2021.
The school reports, “Scott James joins the school from Drove Primary School and brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge, including his role as Pupil Premium Lead across the White Horse Federation.
“He will replace outgoing interim principal, Helen Biles-Wood, who is taking up a new opportunity elsewhere. He will continue to cover Anna Willcox’s extended period of secondment throughout 2021/22.
“Despite not officially taking over until September, Scott has spent every Monday on site during last term getting to know staff and children, whilst also meeting parents on the gates at pick up and drop off times.”
Scott James, said, “It’s been wonderful to get to know everyone and I’ve also spent a lot of time working with the school improvement team to consider how we work with colleagues, parents and children, to continue to improve our school and enable all children to reach their full potential.
“I am delighted to be joining the team at Forest and Sandridge and to have the opportunity to continue to build on the good work of my predecessor. Like all schools, last year was a challenging one for everybody but despite this, the staff, parents, and children all came together to do some amazing things. From virtual productions through to whole school worship, the school, and surrounding community, remained connected throughout and everyone should be very proud of themselves.”
