A GROUP of Melksham Oak students have had their short stories published in a young writers creative writing anthology titled ‘Mission Catastrophe’.
As part of the Young Writers’ Survival Sagas challenge, the Mission Catastrophe competition challenged students to write their very own mini-saga in just 100 words. Students were able to interpret the theme of ‘catastrophe’ however they wished, with stories focusing on topics ranging from destruction and survival, to new beginnings and redemption.
64 students at Melksham Oak were selected.
The school said, “We are incredibly proud of every pupil for the hard work and creativity that went into each submission. A copy of the Mission Catastrophe anthology is available in the school library for anyone who wishes to immerse themselves in the imagination of our budding wordsmiths!”
