The Queensway Community Group amalgamated with Queensway Chapel to put on a ‘Talent Show’ for the community at Queensway on Saturday 7th June.
A highlight of the event was PC Kane Fullbrook Smith and Lee from Asda joining in the Irish dancing by the Shamrock Dancers.
There were also performances from youngsters in the area with singing and dancing, and a couple of adults who thought they had talent and realised they didn’t!
Everyone enjoyed activities including spray painting, connect four, bouncy castle and a host of static displays and demonstrations in Queensway Hall.
Organiser Andy Hinchcliffe said, “It was a great day! We were in stitches watching Kane and Lee do their dancing. It was great to see the community all join in together on such a great event. Asda supplied food for us and ran a tombola for charity. The Co-op gave us some more food and plenty of support with staff. Wetherspoons supplied prizes and activities for children and loads of local people and volunteers made the day such a great success!”
All the entertainment and food was free and proceeds from the day went to various charities.
