A fun quiz night, organised by Melksham Carnival committee, was held at The King’s Arms on Monday 3rd December. The sum of £234 was raised from the successful evening, which will be added to funds for next year’s carnival.
Organisers said, “Supported by Fantasy Radio and compered by quizmaster, Philip Shone, teams battled it out, with Mr. Sparkles and family taking first place.
“As well as the quiz, raffle prizes were donated by local businesses including Andy York, Antico Cafe, Briggsies, Cobblers Bench, Ma Maison, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and a very generous donation from Sparkles Cleaning Services, given on the evening.”
Christine York, chair of the Carnival committee said, “Thanks to everyone who attended and made it a very successful and enjoyable evening. It was a good turnout, a full house!”
