Local hospice, Dorothy House, invites local people to attend their annual Light Up a Life Services to remember loved ones at Christmas, between 27th November – 6th December.
All events start at 6pm with doors opening from 5.30pm, entry is open to all and no tickets are required.
The 45-minute Services of Light will feature Christmas carols, readings and an opportunity to remember loved ones and to light a candle in their memory. For information on the services in your area or how to dedicate and sponsor a light on Dorothy House’s Light Up a Life Christmas tree in Winsley, please see www.dorothyhouse.org.uk
This year the Dorothy House Light Up a Life services in Wiltshire will be held on Thursday 29th November in Devizes and Warminster, on Friday 30th November in Corsham, on Monday 3rd December in Chippenham, Tuesday 4th December in Malmesbury and on Wednesday 5th December in Trowbridge. Please check venue details at www.dorothyhouse. org.uk
These seasonal services of remembrance are part of the annual Dorothy House Light up a Life Appeal. Last year the appeal raised £51,000 to help the hospice provide free, palliative and end-of-life care to local communities in Wiltshire, Somerset and Bath and North-East Somerset and it’s hoped the appeal will raise even more funds to support the hospice this year.
