The Melksham family of the late Michelle Phillips, who was tragically killed in a road traffic collision in Devon at the age of 26, are inviting people to join them at a special remembrance service for road traffic victims.
The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims service, organised by national charity RoadPeace, will be held on Sunday 17th November at 11am at the Percy Community Centre in New King Street in Bath.
Michelle’s mother, Sandra Phillips, said, “We would love it if anyone wanted to join us there, as it is for everyone, especially those who need help at those awful times.”
There will be dedications with readings and music after the service. Afterwards, there will be a short walk to put flowers on the RoadPeace memorial stone in St James’ Park, also known as Pigeon Park.
“I know people who have become good friends after meeting at the service. You don’t really know what it’s like until you have been through it yourself,” said Sandra.
“All are very welcome and many of us who have lost loved ones in road traffic collisions always find it most helpful to get together to catch up with each year on this day.”
