MELKSHAM Police’s beat manager, Kane Fulbrook-Smith, is urging people to be considerate this Halloween, on Friday 31st October, and respect people’s wishes to be left in peace.
He said, “Halloween can be a very busy time for Wiltshire Police however, we still want children to have fun but remember to respect those individuals who don’t want to join in with any trick or treat activity.
“We urge parents to accompany their children at all times and for those who are not accompanied to be sensible and considerate to others. If you see any ‘sorry no trick or treat here’ then please respect the wishes of the occupants; this will prevent any unnecessary alarm or distress and any potential police call out.”
Should any members of the public need to contact the police as a result of un-necessary anti-social behaviour then please call 101 in the first instance, or 999 for an emergency or crime in progress.”
