SANTA and his friends are coming to Melksham and he has asked members of Melksham Lions Club to help him spread Christmas cheer around town.
The Lions Christmas float with Santa, his reindeer and Santa’s Post Box will be in Melksham for the big Christmas lights switch-on and Christmas Fayre on Saturday 3rd December and he will be out and about around local housing estates and visiting local supermarkets and pubs during the weeks leading up to the big day.
Local shops
• Leekes – Sunday 26th November from 12 noon to 4pm
• Co-op Blackmore Road – Sunday 3rd December from 10am to 4pm
• Asda – Saturday and Sunday 9th and 10th December from 10am to 4pm.
• Waitrose – Friday 15th December from 12 noon to 4pm.
• Sainsbury’s – Saturday and Sunday 16th and 17th December from 10am to 4pm.
• Lidl – Sunday 24th December from 10am to 4pm
They will also be going around the streets on the following dates:
• Longford Road Area – Wednesday 6th December from 6pm to 7:30pm.
• Forest Road Area – Tuesday 12th December from 6pm to 7:30 pm.
• Queensway Area – Wednesday 13th December from 6pm to 7:30pm.
• Pathfinder/Halifax Roads Area – Thursday 21st December from 6pm to 7pm.

• Skylark Road – Wednesday 20th December from 5:30pm to 6:30pm
• Verbena Court – Wednesday 20th December from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
