THE Seend Nosh and Natter Lunch Club celebrated its 10th anniversary last week.
On behalf of the club, Pauline Robertson said, “Seend Nosh and Natter was set up in May 2009 by Lilian and John Smallshaw for the residents of Seend and surrounding villages and towns.
“Along with other village friends, the lunch club went from strength to strength and became a part of Seend village life.
“When Mr and Mrs Smallshaw moved away, some of the original group were joined by other local people to help run the club.
“We feel we have carried on the aim of the club, which is to provide a home-cooked meal for a reasonable price once a month, served with a smile. It is our pleasure to do this, we all have a lovely time.
“On Wednesday 29th May, a 10 year celebration lunch was held in the community centre, with most of our loyal guests who enjoyed salmon with watercress sauce and Eton mess. We aim to keep going well into the future.
“All are welcome, all we ask is you call to book. The next lunch is Wednesday 26th June, 12pm for 12.30pm. Telephone 01380 828638.”
